I’m always looking for fun (inexpensive) things to do with Jack each day. This Oklahoma heat is tough, and while we could go for walks or to the park a few months ago, it’s hot hot hot outside in the summer! I’ve come up with a list of some great summertime activities to do with your littles when the temperature starts to rise.
Museums
Sam Noble Museum– The first Monday of the month is free for children ages 17 and under!
Fred Jones Art Museum– This museum is always free!
Oklahoma City Museum of Art– Check out the Matisse exhibit. It’s only in OKC until Sept. 18, 2016.
Oklahoma History Center– Okietales: Reading and Storytelling every Wednesday in July (designed for ages 2-9) admission is $2.
National Cowboy and Western Heritage Museum
Science Museum Oklahoma– Again we love this museum!
Museum of Osteology– We have never been here, but would like to try it sometime soon.
Oklahoma Railway Museum– Train rides every 1st & 3rd Saturday of the month through August.

Berry/Fruit Picking
Did you know that there are some great pick your own farms around Oklahoma City? Here is a short list:
Sorghum Mill Blackberry Farm– Pick your own blackberries in June (Christmas Trees in the winter!)
First Fruits Berry Farm– Thorn-less blackberries- check out their website for a picking schedule.
TG Farms– Summertime produce includes: Potatoes, Tomatoes, Okra, Peaches, Peppers and more. In the fall- Pumpkins!

Indoor Fun
Unpluggits – Crafts and art for children 18 months to 10 years, plus an indoor play area!
Journey Church -I hear they have a great indoor play area.
Dynamo Gymnastics Indoor Play Area– I’ve also heard good things about this indoor play gym.
Bouncin Craze– Indoor inflatable fun.
Elevation Trampoline Park– A room full of trampolines! My 10 year old self would have LOVED this!
